Nissan Murano is the first midsize crossover sport utility vehicle manufactured by Nissan. Nissan showcased the Nissan Murano in the year 2002, and its sales kicked off in automotive markets from 2003 in Canadian and United States markets. It made use of concepts of Nissan Altima, which was in its third generation that time.

Until 2007, Nissan Murano was the only crossover SUV sold in U.S, until the new 2008 Nissan Rouge was launched. The Nissan Murano falls between the Pathfinder and Xterra; however, the price of the Murano is vaguely higher than Nissan Pathfinder.

The Nissan Murano offers lesser cargo space in comparison to other midsize SUVs. You cannot find a third row seating in the Murano, but it is quite spacious and legroom in the second row is fairly good. In LE trim, you can find more features like seatbelt adjustments and heated seats.

Driving Impressions

The handling is really enhanced in the latest Murano with highly responsive power steering and flimsily tuned suspension. The ride is vey sooth even in the uneven bumps and makes you feel that the vehicle has indeed been carefully engineered. Overall, it is a nice CUV, which is well worth the money paid!
